Tamika Shameena Martin is the founder and CEO of MIND BODY ONE — a powerhouse of purpose who wears many crowns: certified holistic life coach, herbalist, writer, motivational speaker, activist, fitness enthusiast and media personality.
Education & Background
From an early age, Tamika Martin was deeply influenced by spiritual teachings and natural healing experiences, having been raised under a powerful lineage of ordained ministers, medicine women and military professionals. These early roots in ancestral wisdom and holistic living laid the foundation for what would become her life’s calling as a healer, teacher, and soul-led entrepreneur.
Her journey of formal education began in Princeton Junction, New Jersey, where she excelled as a gifted student and creative mind — thriving in advanced writing and cosmetology programs before going on to earn her BA in Psychology and African American Studies from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). Her academic training gave her a deeper understanding of the mind-body connection, cultural healing frameworks, and the psychology behind true transformation.
Tamika’s educational background, combined with corporate experience in both the pharmaceutical and health & beauty industries, provided her with a solid foundation in wellness strategy, product development, and consumer health. These experiences refined her business acumen and offered a critical lens on the conventional health system — ultimately fueling her desire to create something more holistic, natural, and soul-aligned.
After overcoming personal trauma, health challenges, and disillusionment with traditional medicine, she leaned fully into her purpose — guided by the teachings of visionaries like Queen Afua, Iyanla Vanzant, Dr. Sebi, and Deepak Chopra. Her mission is now rooted in legacy, lived experience, and the elevation of conscious wellness.
Tamika is currently pursuing a PhD in Metaphysical Science, further bridging ancient spiritual practices with modern empowerment. From the mentally ill to elite athletes, her clients trust her for transformation, truth, and unapologetic authenticity.
